NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BYLAW 1657

Kneehill County has received application for a redesignation of the aforementioned lands from the current “A” Agriculture District to “DCD” Direct Control District (DC4). The applicant , BRDC, is submitting for Kneehill County Council consideration those uses as previously outlined in an appendix to the Badland motorsports Resort Area Structure Plan (ASP) Bylaw 1597 (passed June 25, 2013) . Pursuant to sections 230, 606, and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, Statutes of Alberta, Chapter M-26, 2000, as amended , the Council of Kneehill County in the Province of Alberta hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Bylaw No. 1657, being a bylaw to amend Kneehill County Land Use Bylaw No. 1564.
The purpose of proposed Bylaw No. 1657 is to redesignate an area totalling approximately 172 Hectares (426 Acres) lying north of the Rosebud River and west of Range Road 212 . The area within Section 22; Township 27; Range 21; W4M including NW-22-27-21-W4 , that portion of SW- 22-27-21-W4 within Kneehill County, that portion of SE-22-27-21-W4 within Kneehill County and west of Plan 1310587; Block 2; Lot 1, and Plan 1310666; Block 3; Lot 1 (within NE-22-27-21-W4) less any registered Road and Railway Plans. The area proposed for redesignation from “A” Agriculture District to “DC4” Direct Control District 4 is identified by the cross-hatched area in the attached plan. The redesignation is to accommodate a change in use of a portion of the said lands and the Creation of a new Land Use District — Direct Control District 4 “DC4”.
Presentation: Oral and written comments and suggestions are invited and should be addressed to the point of the proposed amendment. They may be made by any person or group of persons or a person acting on his or their behalf, who claims to be affected by the proposed amendment , and by any other persons that Council wishes to hear at the hearing. Written submissions may be made by the persons above, and must be received in the Kneehill County office by 12:01 PM on Thursday, November 28th, 2013. Oral presentations may be made at the hearing by the persons above, whether or not they have made a written presentation. The time limit of oral presentations is subject to the direction of the Chairman .
