With the Re-zoning Bylaw now passed by Kneehill County (Bylaw 1657) so the project is approved to proceed, we now have entered into the more detailed design phase. (Note: in May 2015 – Bylaw 1657 was amended and replaced by Bylaw 1695)
Over the next few months we will complete all of the detailed design plans, including the final Master Plan, engineering drawings and architectural drawings that will be required for the Development permits.
Work has already begun on the final detailed Environmental Impact Assessment and Traffic Impact Assessment, which is also a requirement for Development permits. Some of this work cannot be completed until the late spring/early summer when the snow cover is gone.
We expect to have Development Permits in place by the late 3rd quarter or early 4th quarter of 2014.
Construction will commence soon thereafter. If everything goes according to plan, construction could commence in the 4th quarter of 2014 and at least a portion of the development could be operational by the 3rd quarter of 2015.
As previously stated, we will not be selling memberships or garages/lockers until immediately AFTER construction has commenced, and therefore final pricing on membership costs will not be released until that time.
It is still our mandate to have the largest membership base of any Motorsports facility in North America, and to offer a variety of Membership types to cater to many demographics. We will strive to have the lowest entry level equity based lifetime memberships of any facility in North America.
Our target for entry level lifetime memberships is still $10,000-$12,000 with financing available.
A broad range of membership types is also planned including Bike Memberships, Family Memberships, and Kart track only memberships.
